Numerous rooms for hire
With eight different rooms available we suit many different needs and can seat from 6 to 180 persons. We can provide tea, coffee, biscuits and other refreshments as well as a variety of excellent buffets and also have a fully licensed bar.

Historic Grade II* listed building
The Mechanics Institute is best known as the birthplace of the British Trades Union Congress (TUC) which was founded in the building in 1868 and is also the birthplace of the Co-operative Insurance Society and UMIST.
